2018 expression of interest to sponsor parents and grandparents

For the year of 2018, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) announced a goal of 10,000 complete applications to sponsor parents and grandparents.

The online submission of interest to sponsor parents and grandparents form is available for the time period starting at noon EST on January 2, 2018, and ending at noon EST on February 1, 2018.

After the online form closes, IRCC will review all submissions of interest and remove any duplicates. IRCC will then randomly select potential sponsors and invite them to submit a complete application. Upon receipt of the invitation to apply, invited potential sponsors must apply to become a sponsor and their respective parents and grandparents must apply for permanent residence.

Note: complete applications have to be submitted before the deadline specified in the IRCC invitation.
