New test and French language testing organization designated by Immigration, Refugee and Citizenship
On November 7, 2018, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) announced that the Test de connaissance du français pour le Canada (TCF Canada), administered by the Centre international d’études pédagogiques (CIEP) (available in French only) is now accepted as proof of French language ability for Canadian immigration applications, including streams under the federal Express Entry system.
IRCC summarizes the equivalencies between the Niveaux de compétence linguistique canadiens (French language benchmark), and the results of language tests from designated French language testing organizations.
